need answers!:(

for almost a year since I've had my son, my periods have been regular and heavy. I had to change a super plus tampon in 1 1/2- 2 hours. I had a normal period on dec 26th or 27th. was expecting my next one on jan 26th... didn't come.. 8 days after that I started spotting. didn't need a tampon but wore one anyways just in case I did start but in 10 hours only had a mini drop of blood and the rest was brown. so for the next 2 1/2 days it was on and off brown and sometimes pink when I wiped. no clots at all. it is now the 19th and I still haven't had a normal heavy period. blood test on the 11th of feb came back negative only 3 days after the spotting. im not stressed and everything is normal.

nothing that you have stated in your first paragraph has changed . (weight loss/gain, caffeine, smoking) and the dr would have told me if it sounds like a cyst. should I request an ultrasound to find that out??

my husband and I do have unprotected sex. with my last child I found out when I was 4 days late and I have had a miscarriage a couple months before he was conceived so I know what it looks like when I started bleeding from that. my dr isn't much help at all and I cant find another one that will take my insurance.

I get on the internet  and type in the symptoms that I have, how late I was, and the spotting and pregnancy is the only thing that pops up. and I don't feel like my period is going to come. I had a normal heavy period on dec 26th.. I haven't had one since then, except for the spotting on feb 8th.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
There are several reasons why a woman have delayed menstruation and this could be due to unhealthy diet, stress (emotional or physical), sudden weight gain or loss, caffeine, alcohol, and smoking. Gynecological conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and uterine cysts or polyps, can also bring about alteration in menstrual cycle. However, pregnancy is still the most common cause of delayed or missed period.

So if there is a history of any unprotected intercourse then pregnancy should be ruled out.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
