not eating in time

If I don't eat in time, like right when I get hungry or such then I end up feeling really sad and it gets bad enough to where I'll start crying. Does anyone know why that could be? -could it just be a hormone imbalance, or something like that? I don't technically have depression or anything, if that might have something to do with it. It usually happens if I can't eat soon enough, if I have to wait(to eat) a little too long, hmm..as in..three hours or such I'd say. Sometimes it can happen if I don't eat within an hr or two. This whole not eating emotional deal doesn't always happen though. Thanks.

Ps, sorry if this bugs anyone sense it's not exactly in the right place. I've put it up once before in the proper place but no one ever said anything:/. I'm just really curious about it and people seem to be writing back in this one. Thanks again: ).

It sounds like it could be low blood sugar levels. It can cause all kinds of symptoms in different people; I get really nauseous and dizzy if I go way too long without eating, and then if I eat when it's got to that stage already it actually makes me vomit. Not good. :(  I found that sticking to a diet higher in protein and lower in processed carbs (bread, sugar etc) levels everything out and the symptoms aren't so bad. Maybe try and keep a protein-containing snack with you (nuts are easy and readily available, as is string cheese) so that you don't have to be too long without fuel for your body. Don't leave it more than 3-4hrs without eating something. Hope that helps.
