period late why?

I have not seen my period since about 12th of December I wanna say and according to on here i would have started already but there is nothing at all. Some abdominal pain here and there. I have not had sex AT ALL.  Is there anything else of why it could b late? This has been happening more that my periods come late n late Evey so new month.

Well have had stress alot and I noticed Ihave gained lil
weight but I assumed it was bloating from my cycle coming.

Hi there and welcome.  Well, if you haven't had sex, it feels great to eliminate pregnancy as one of the reasons you are late, right?  Whew!!  Don't have to worry about that.  There are lots of reasons why a woman will have a longer than usual or late cycle.  They include illness, stress, weight gain or loss, changes in routine, slow thyroid, hormonal issues that just pop up randomly.  It is not unusual to have a late cycle as most women do from time to time.  My own period is late this month due to all that was going on around the holidays.  I would wait to see if it shows up.  If you skip an entire month, then give your doctor a call to see what is going on.  good luck
