period pain

I'm 17 years old I've had my period since I was about twelve I've never really had problems with pain it only hurt for like 20 minutes and the pain was tolerable but in the past two months the pain was unbearable I couldn't even stand straight I tried hot baths and mefenamic acid but it didn't really help what should I do to make it stop?

Hi there, agree with anniebrook.  I have had a month like that a few times and my doctor mentioned it was probably a cyst passing.  I would say that if you continue to have pain like that, you should definately tell your mom and schedule an exam.  good luck

Try Advil or Nuprin (ibuprophen).  However, because this is such a noticeable change, go see your doctor too.
