period

So my period was late, the blood was brown, and it was extremely light. Usually it's right on time, normal red blood, and normal. I haven't been eating regulary and I cut my calories by more than half. Could this have something to do with it? I've always be active, but I amped everything up. (I am a competitive swimmer, and I went to dogging practice to trying really hard, to drop a couple of pounds).

Exercise, diet and weight loss can effect menstration.  If your worried I'd talk to your ob/gyn or GP.

Definitely not having the right nutrition can wreak havoc on your body. That kind of amenorrhea is virtually always temporary. So if it's really important to you to drop a couple of pounds, don't worry. When you do get back to your old diet, everything should be fine. Otherwise, maybe there's a way to try to lose a couple of pounds but still give your body some decent nutrition? Good luck!

It's possible for athletic women to lose their periods when their body fat ratio drops beyond a certain amount.  It's part of our species' defense against reproducing when there is not enough food.  Definitely I would suspect this is what is going on if you are a competitive swimmer and recently dropped weight.
