possible heart problems or anxiety?

hello i am an 18 year old female, lately i have experenced some scary and upsetting symptoms.i am healthy, i am 5'5 and 118 pounds. i do not smoke do drugs or drink. but i am on the depo provera shot, but i dont think thats the problem, sence ive been on it for a few years and these symptoms never appeared. i exercise regulary and my job is fast very active.  they interact with my daily life and seem to be getting worse. i will list my symptoms;
    *pain and discomfort on the left side of my chest, by or under my sternum, on or around my left breast, on the left side of my back, and sometimes a little on the right side. this goes on every day.
     *my heart rate used to b normal, but now its faster (resting around 80-100 BPM) i feel it beating all the time too
      *my heart races even after walking up stairs or just getting up and picks up a fast pace right away after exercise
      *lightheadedness or dizzy feeling sitting or right after and during exercise,
       * feeling that i cannot breathe normal so i feel like i have to keep taking deep breaths
       * occasional strange heartbeat
       * im always tired now even during activities, but i cannot sleep at night
        * a strang cough that comes and goes some days its worse other days its minor or dosent happen at all
        *random numbness or dull pain in my left leg
i am scared that it could be heart failure or something and i feel like my heart is going to stop any minuet. any suggestions please??

it could be dysautonomia..(an imbalance of the nervous system)

I would see a cardiologist and have it checked.  they can check your blood pressure sitting, then standing, etc and see if it drops (which could cause dizziness upon standing)

until you see a dr, try drinking a LOT of water and see if that helps

I have had many of the symptoms that you mentioned.  Mine was anxiety,but have to say, I did not have numbness or pain in left leg.  I had the lightheadedness, breathing issues, strange heartbeats and cannot sleep at night.  Go get evaluated by a doctor first to make sure everything is ok.  Most likey it is anxiety but you have to know for sure for sure.

Yes!  You need to see a doctor.   I realize you're very young, but heart problems can happen to anyone including babies.  It may very well be anxiety, but you need to be evaluated by a doctor.  Why continue to torture yourself with speculation?  You need some real answers and a diagnosis and a doctor is the only one who can do that.  Please post back and let us know what happens.  :-)
