pregnancy after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage on November 2, 2009... it's now almost mid december and I still havent gotten my period. I have taken plenty of negative (-) HPT's then I took one very faint positive (+) HPT so I went to my doctor and they said there was a  little bit of the HcG hormone but not enough to say that I'm definitely pregnant but I still haven't gotten my period. However, I am having so many different symptoms of possible pregnancy or period I guess ( headaches, nausea, tired, tender breasts, sore nipples, leg cramping, random spouts of major hunger!, random abdominal pains, etc.) It's been about 7 weeks since my miscarriage and nothing... no period no nothing... I've heard that some people were in fact pregnant and they didn't have any positive blood or urine tests until they were like 3 months pregnant... is this possible that I am pregnant and that maybe I just am one of those cases... and I was also wondering if it's "normal" to have not gotten my period still after its been a month and a half?

That is really awesome that you have such a supportive family! I would say that you know your body best so if you say you are pregnant than I'd put money on it as well!! lol

I agree, seeing kids in any military supportive stuff is so adorable! How long has Andrew been in the Army?

Those are really cute ideas for color schemes! I haven't had a baby shower yet but my sister and mom are throwing me one in January so after that we will know exactly what we are missing and hopefully get started on the nursery!

Yeah, I cant live that way life is too short. My family hubby included was very very very supportive of me. I mean of course I could be wrong but Id pretty much put money on it that im pregnant again. Just a feeling I cant shake.

Thats so cute, I love seeing the little kids walking around in their little mini ACU's lol Andrew said he'd never put his kid in that... but I will lol.
April 9th! Well just think it's already almost January and that month will fly by as well... not too much longer.

When ever we had a baby... if its a boy we're doing the nursery a sage green with black furniture and if its a girl sage green with white furniture... im not a fan of themes just color schemes. Did you have baby shower yet or anything?

Yes, that is all very understandable and ya I think a lot of people assume anyone who has a miscarriage would be in a dark room for a few months or something. Well I am glad to hear that you have got the support you need through all of this!! And I am sure you will be able to bounce back from it quickly as far as getting pregnant if it hasn't happened already :).

Thanks! I was actually expecting my husband to not want camo as well but luckily he wanted it because we really aren't into many other themes out there. Yes, we have plenty of time. My due date is April 9th. Seems like a year away!! lol

Thank you for that. I mean don't get me wrong I do cry every now and then but I feel like people are expecting to me crawl in my bed and not come out for a year because of this.. Yes it was extremely painful and I wish it didn't happen but I know it happened for a reason and if I let myself get get extremely down, I wont be healthy enough to have another baby right away so I'd rather keep my head up and stay healthy and just let this happen as they come. I have to say though the support from people strangers and non strangers alike definitely helps.

Zackary Tyler... I like it. I like when people use the fathers name in there some where.. I dunno like a respect thing lol... Army Camo.. thats halarious. Psh my husband wants to stay as far away from anything army at home as possible... the only thing we have is a few picks from his deployment and thats it! Yeah, you have plenty of time to get everything done. Whats your due date.. April right?

I think it is wonderful that you are keeping a positive attitude no matter what! That is probably the only thing you can truly do at this point...and honestly you seem to be handling this all way better than I think I would be able to so stay strong!!

As of right now we have chose Zackary Tyler...Zackary was both of our favorite picks from the beginning and Tyler is my husbands middle name so we figured that would be a good choice. We haven't really started the nursery yet but we did decide on a theme. We are gonna do Army camo...what a shocker that my husband wants that since he's in the Army lol. We have the bedding picked out and are excited to get the room decorated but we aren't in too big of a hurry at this point.

Leelee72- I'm trying not to think that way and in a sense ignore the pregnancy/period symptoms and just wait... but like i was saying th armywife88... sometimes you just have the feeling.. honestly I'd be ok either way... if I get my period great then I will know Im definitely not and then we can move on and try again and then if end up being pregnant..even better..

Armywife88- a boy yay!!!! did you guys think of any names? thats what my husband wants too lol but I dont care either way. Did you guys start the nursery yet or anything?

jmcolucci- wow!!!! Im so happy for you!!! that is amazing!!! So how far along are you if you miscarried on 11/4? When I first started bleeding and the did that test I cant remember what its called.... oh BETA test... my levels were supposed to be at like 45,000 and they were only at 6,500 so my levels were really low to begin with so thats why I am thinking that the levels shown when they did the test to see if I was pregnant a second time werent just left overs that they were in fact the early stages on pregnancy...

I know I shouldnt get my hopes up... but I want to think positive... if I end up not being pregnant I will be ok... i handled the first miscarriage a lot better than I thought I would... I know god will give me a baby when he knows it's time. I mean my husband and I got pregnant within a few days of him getting home from iraq.. and it happened very easily, very quickly... so it's not like we've been trying forever so we're frustrated.. we're just taking it one day at a time and just being patiennt and hoping for the best.

Thank you for all the advice.. Armywife88 keep up dated on baby boy! and jmcolucci please let me know about your new bundle of joy! I hope everything goes smoothly!

andrewerin1005 - I can definitely understand that you are both eager for this to happen. When I first missed my period I was one of those people that was like no it's all in my head, I'm tricking myself into thinking this is true. But I agree with you completely, you can't imagine throwing up!! lol and yes I have definitely had that feeling. My husband and I both had a very very strong feeling that I was pregnant from day one!! I think you know your body best and you can be the only one to say whether you could be pregnant or not.

Thank you!! I actually found out at the beginning of November that we are having a boy!! My husband is ecstatic and brags about it to everyone...it's rather cute lol.

Leelee72 - Like I said before I know nothing about miscarriages so you could be totally right. I have heard that every woman's body reacts different to miscarriage and that some get pregnant right away and some don't have as good of luck. Have you heard that as well?? I hope in her case she gets pregnant right away!! :)

I had a miscarriage last yr and did not get a period for 3 months. I got my period the exact day the Dr. said I would. And i was still having pregnancy symptoms. I would wait a couple of months and then call your Dr. if you still feel pregnant and don't get your period. It is normal to feel this way. Especially after a miscarriage, I wanted to believe I was still pregnant, so every little symptom made me think I still was. It is a very hard thing to get over. Good luck. l

I don't know much about miscarriages but I have definitely heard that some women don't test positive when they are indeed pregnant...happened to my sister and my mom!

All of your symptoms definitely sound like the symptoms I first noticed when I became pregnant so you could be pregnant. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and your husband! I truly hope that you are pregnant!!

Keep us posted!
