pregnancy symptoms while I have an IUD

I have had an IUD in for 6 months. I haven't had a period in a month. I feel like I could be pregnant but I am not sure at all. I have been getting major and minor cramps, clearish discharge. Also, when I poop I get cramps really bad. Every now and then I get this pain in my stomach like it's being pulled from my stomach to my pelvis. I just want to know if I could be pregnant and if so what do I do next?

I have been using iud since 2006 after I had my last boy, I removed it in 2011 and put another one after two months. But recently I have been having all signs of pregnancy except that I still see my mesntruation, its very light and brownish. My doctor told me that there's no way I can fall pregnant while on iud but I am worried because I have gained weight, have stomach cramps. Nausea, craving for food, breasts have gone bigger, abdorminal pain when having sex, feel movements in my lower abdominem as if somethings is moving, I am moody and very emotional, the smells get to me. I am really in a state. And my boyfriend keeps asking me if I am preganant and that scares me even more because its like he can see through me. What worries me is why am I now having very little flow when I used to have a heavy one? Should I worry

Iv had the merina IUD for three years and I'm producing milk could I be pregnanat? Iv had one positve test and one negative test, what should I do???

I have had the mirena Iud for 4 years. In the beginning, it was a heavy flow then has slimmed down to spotting a couple of days. I have had most of the symptoms of a pregnancy like frequent urination,sore boobs,increase in appetite, weight gain ( it seems just to be in my lower belly) as if pregnant,problems with bowel movements,etc. Tests turn out negative. Wondering if there was anyone pregnant with an iud? My family thinks its impossible but what else could it be?

hi, ive been having cramps on my right lower part (under my belly) went to the docs today and he gave me 400mg ibuprofen and told me to take them when ever i get pain. ive only been on the coil for 2 months, and the doc gave me the mini pill to stop bleedibg a month ago. my boobs hurt and i do feel sick occasionally. the dov told me that if the pain hadnt gone after a week i shoild have a pregnancy test. could o be pregnant or could it be the coil and pill coliding? or something else? sorry about nicking your post btw lol

so glad to come across this site. I had para gard placed in june and my period is late. I have had brown discharge and an increase in breast size and my stomach seems to be growing. Hubby complains that he feels the iud when we have intercourse,took a test the day period was due and it was neg. I hate this not knowing what is happening to my body:(

Ive had my IUD since June of 08 after my daughter was born and havent had a period since Ive had it put it. Here recently I have had spotting, really bad cramps, and my pevlic hurts massivly I have taken two or three HPT which have all came up negative, is there a possiblity I could be pregnant?? Ok Tara .. I'm a patient that's had my copper IUD for 4 years . But everything hurts my back boobs ext. I've came out negative in every home pregnancy test and urine test at my obgyn... so my last result is to have an ultra sound even if they get annoyed but we are the ones paying for it. So we will see what happens . Is there anyone that's is pregnant with the copper IUD???

i had mirena in for just short of 4 years for 6 months ful periods and alot of bleeding after that nothin for 3 years dont panic merina can cause periods to stop n its completely normal. the body can play tricks on you the lightlyhood of getting pregnant on mirena is very slim its like 99.4% effective. it thins the lining of the womb thats why you may not bleed and as many as 1/3 of women who have it in dont ovutate while its in place.

Hi, I am happy to have come across this site and just decided to repost this on here, instead of retyping it all. I was reading all the way from the beginning, then skipped lots in between..just too much women all with the same issues. I have had my Nova-T copper IUD(canadian kind, but only good for 3-5 years) in for 1 1/2 years now. I have had abnormal periods in the past, but since I had this IUD inserted, I have had a very heavy 7 day period at least every 4 if not 6 weeks when it was late.....but always very very heavy from the IUD. Now concerns have risen, since my last period was in the end of December. I have been waiting patiently, just thinking it will be a little late, but will come shortly. So, in the beginning of this month I had no cramps, but very light spotting for four days and also some dark brown blood at times...very little though. After that it just never came. so I was unsure if to consider that a period or not. Definately not the heavy period I am use to since the time I had the IUD inserted. I have two young boys, 2yrs and 5yrs, so I know spotting can happen when u are pregnant. I have been having sore breasts and eating lots, so just too confused. ON the 18th of this month I went in for my 6 month pap(6 month follow up after having a leep procedure done in August/cutting off bad cervical cells) I told my doctor my conerns, so they just did a urine test and she said it is very odd chances of getting pregnant, almost none. She said to have missed or no periods are normal, but then I told her my IUD was not a Mirena with hormones as I knew she thought mine was. She said the strings I had on this IUD, look like a mirena IUD, so that is why she probably said that..knowing the hormones in the Mirena may cause no periods. I told her( I am in states now by the way), that in Canada the copper IUD is not the same as the one here. She just said the urine test was negative and not to worry. I asked her if I could come in a month. She looked at me annoyed and said if I feel like I want to, but the strings are still there and there is no chances of pregnancy. I am paronoid, esp. in 2003, I had an ectopic pregnancy, but had no IUD at that time. I am so confused and sleepless at nights. I am worried and not sure if I should take her word, or start going out and buying my own pg tests and do every few weeks to make sure till a period returns. It is just too strange. I was thinking, maybe it was just too early and I will for sure rebook an appointment with her in a month to make sure, and ask her to do another pregnancy test or even better, a blood test. I can tell she does not appreciate me telling her what to do, but I feel she just does not take me seriously enough and see the chances are there even if I have an IUD and really thinks I am over board. Has anyone else had a copper IUD, missed a period like me and showed up negative on the urine test? Do you think it may just be too ealry? I will pray, and either way me and my husband will have to deal with it.

K i've been on the mirena for over a year, and i have usually had my periods now i haven't had it and i took two home pregnancy test which were both negative, and a clinical pregnancy test today which was also negative..is there still any chance i could be pregnant, because i feel all the same symptoms as when i was pregnant with my son, also stomach aches, and butterfly feeling. I'm really convinced i am pregnant, but just can't convince anyone else. what shall i do??

i have mirena since nov. 2008..at beginning my period would come normally now its not...i felt pregnant in april, weight gain weird food cravings...now my last lmp was nov. 26, sex dec4, and ovulation 7-12...since in abdomen discomfort, white discharge, craving chicken and turkey, extremely tired, hard time sleeping at nite, frequent bathroom breaks even at nite, back pain, yest. it felt like something was kicking me/moving, i did have darkening and bigger areolas, negative test..what do you think

go take you a test, yes you could be preg. the iud could of moved out of place. if its neg or not go see your doc, could be something serious. keep us posted
