MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Rectovaginal fistula is abnormal connection between the rectum and the vagina. Treatment for a rectovaginal fistula depends on its cause, size, location and effect on surrounding tissues. Sometimes fistulas heal on their own, but most people need surgery to close or repair the abnormal connection.

Whether treatment is needed in your case or not depends on the severity of the fistula for which you need to consult a surgeon.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
