You should really wait until the day your period is due to test. There are some on the market that claim to be effective earlier (First Response - I'm in the UK). For example - an accurate result in 69% of women 4 days before AF is due, 83% of women 3 days before AF is due and 93% of women who are both 2 and 1 days within AF being due.
I've been there and I couldn't help but worry that I was one of the 21%, 17% and 7% who were getting the wrong result but thankfully I wasn't.
There's no easy answer to this one if you get a negative result and AF still hasn't arrived other than see a doctor. As I said in my earlier post, some women take weeks before they get a postive result and some never do. If your AF doesn't arrive on time you could ask your doctor for a blood test but these can be as fallible as urine tests if hormone levels are low. Sometimes the only way to tell is through an internal exam (how my 5 month pregnancy was detected - but I was still having light periods) or by ultrasound. This is worst case scenario though 20 years ago - and how I discovered that the combined pill doesn't work on me!
Wait until Sunday and test again if AF is a no show then see your doctor.
Our bodies and hormones are sometimes a law unto themselves and can fool us in so many ways - fooling those who are desperate to be pregnant that they are and those desparate not to be that they are as well.
How long should i wait. i did one after it stopped the first time and it was negative. how long shouldi wait after this time/? (assuming AF doesnt come)
Well yes, you could be pregnant - or not! The bleeding could be implantation bleeding or it could just be spotting. I occasionally have spotting a few days before my period is due but the fact that you have missed taking some of your pills has most likely left you without contraceptive protection. If something similar has happened in the past and you were pregnant then, then it could be an indication that you are again - or you could just be spotting!
It's probably too early to test accurately and some women don't get a postive pregnancy test until their period is some weeks overdue - some never do. I would try to take your doctor's advice (difficult I know) and wait to see if your period arrives on Sunday.
Hormones are strange things and I know that when I have missed pills (rarely thankfully) I've had unexpected bleeding and have even got my period two weeks early - even though it's normally as regular as clockwork. Try not to worry!
yea, it was right around there. its not like a normal period, its light pink yea, and its really really light. im mostly worried because i dont want to miscarry again if i am pregnant.
wait a few days to test. when did you and your hubby have sex? was it around your ovulation time? is the bleeding light pink?
anybody? im kind of freaking out...
