small, sore, red lump inside my vaginal lips

i am thirteen and i have just started my period on the 1st of May 2009. a few weeks on and i have noticed a small, red, sore lump inside my vagina lips. i don't shave and i have never had anything like this before. i'm concerned and wondering what it is.

no! i am only thirteen after all i've never even kissed a boy before! thanks though. It looks kinda like a mouth ulcer and my mum thinks it'll go away...

Are you sexually active? Sometimes red bumps are from an STI

no, anyway, i don't think hair is meant to grow where my bump is. thankyou so much for the help though. I 'll keep checking for a hair folicle.

Hi Hun, these may be ingrown hairs, I suffer from these everynow and then.  Can you see a hair folicle amongst the bumps?
