still confused..

in my last question i said that i had sex exactly one week before my period because i didnt think i could get pregnant that close to the end of my cycle, but that my period was a few days late. my period is now 7 days late. i have taken two hptests (one of which was last night) and both have told me i am not pregnant. does anyone know what could be going on here? is there a chance i could be pregnant despite the negative test reslults? i'm only sixteen and i'm very scared. please help!

thanks for all your help it was much appriciated!
this morning i started cramping and bleeding. i'm almost completely sure this is my period but im slightly afraid this could be implantation bleeding because it's not as heavy as my normal period. i guess time will tell on this one right? another thing that worries me is i feel REALLY neuseated and i have never been this way on my period. also, my cramps are not as bad as usual. but i think my flow, although not as heavy as usual, is too heavy for implantation bleeding. any advice on this?

I can't think of a way to say this in an uncomplicated way.

It takes 14 days past conception for a pregnancy test to show positive.  That means if you ovulated late and did get pregnant a week before you expected your period,  today would be about the first day you could actually expect to see it on a pregnancy test - and that's with first morning urine,  not evening urine.  It's just now only 14 days since you had sex that time,  so if that got you pregnant,  it's just now the first time it might possibly show up.

I agree with smjmekg. Anytime you have unprotected sex there is a chance you are pregnant. Also you might want to wait a little long then take another test. If you're really concerned you can go to a local free clinic, and have them do a test.

Keep us updated. Good luck.

If you have sex without protection, of course you could be pregnant. I would wait a while, see what happens and test again. If you took two tests and they came out negative you could have either tested too early or you aren't pregnant. Is your period always on time?
