im a 19 year old female and i have only had sex with one guy and thats my boyfriend that i have been with for a year and a half now. i have 2 questions... 1) we have sex often not all the time. but every once in awhile the inside of my vagina will burn when we have sex sometimes it burns a little and sometimes really bad.(sorry for the details). 2) one time my boyfriend was going down on me (this was about 3 or 4 months ago) and like a week ago he told me i had a uncommon smell down there and he thinks its a infection but i dont think it is. i dont discharge i do only when im about to start my period or when i end my period but it only last a few days then i dont discharge anymore. im very worried what is wrong with me? what should i do?

People usually do get discharge with an infection. With that said I too. Have had the same feeling with sex in the past with no discharge  I went to my dr and she said I had a little yeast in there but the amount I had didn't usually bother women. She ran other cultures all were fine she simply said to use yeast infection meds if it is bothering me. I did and all my burning during sex went away. Makes sure you finish the medication. O and where a dr hasn't told you this before see them first if they say yeast then u will know from now on if it happens again :-)

Smell and a burning sensation are indications that you have an infection. You need to go to the doctors immediately. You cannot let infections go untreated or they will get much worst.
