why is this itching happening in my vagina?

I feel burning and have a white edge around my opening of my vagina.  It looks like it is freezer burnt.  Slight itching, but not bad.  i haven't had sex. never, so it cant be a sexually transmitted disease. What could this be?

It could be a yeast infection. I've had many. You don't have to be sexually active to develop one. Keep the area clean and dry. You could also try a feminine wash, but be careful if the infection seems worse, you don't want to irritate it further.

If it continues I'd see a doctor, they're really easy to treat and doctors see it all of the time! Nothing to be self-conscious about. :)
