I have had an ultra sound on my abdominal  area and they state that I have a solid lesion in the right lobe of my liver measuring 20x18mm  on a background of fatty infiltration.  Comment being fatty infiltration of the liver and solid nodule in the right lobe.  Also  what do they mean when they say no free fluid in the upper abdomen.  They stated that this could be investigated further with a triple phase CT scan through the liver.  Could you please explain to me what this means. Thank you so much Cathy

Thank you for responding to my comment, I really appreciate it.  I am booked in for This Thursday morning for that triple phase scan, am a little nervous about it as I haven't had a scan before and don't know what to expect.  I'm sure everything will be alright though.

Thanks once again regards Cathy :)

No free fluid in the upper abdomen is a good thing. It seems as though they are trying to rule out any trauma to the abdomen and liver. a CT scan is more accurate than an ultra sound.
