worring and pain

I have not had an period in 6-7 months and nothing would help to make it come. after meeting the love of my life, all of a suden i get my period but it hurts like hell. im wondering am i pregnant or did we contribute to my period coming fatser by having a lot of sex?

I apologize for not saying that I too am happy that you found a new love!  I was so concerned about what you wrote, that I didn't think about the"human" side of your letter!  

I agree with what the others have written about telling us of your age and menstrual history.  

I too had very painful, heavy, and long periods and had to take meds. for some years to regulate them.  

I wish you good luck in finding out what has caused these symptoms!

Hi:) I usually talk about my other problems on here, but I also have had many problems with my uterus and my periods.  I actually bled every day for a year, and then I've had times when I don't have a period at all for 6+ months.  I just recently had my first period after 7 months w/o one, and i can tell you it was a doozy!!!  The one thing my OBGYN says is "The more you cramp, the more you bleed"....I was so heavy, and the cramping was severe....I see my OBGYN as a specialist because of my uterus problems, so it would probably be wise to make an appointment, especially since you are not regular at all.  My next step since we just did a bunch of new tests, is to be regulated with something like the birth control patch....to make my cycles regular.  

As mentioned before, knowing your age and/or a bit of history would be helpful also:)

Also...if you have clots that are larger than golf balls, you need to call 911 or get to the hospital....or even if you just have a huge amount of blood coming out....soaking a pad in an hour or something comparable....I have experience with hemorrhaging also....definitely an emergency situation.

I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and tell you that I'm glad that you have found the Forum. You need to understand that there are NO Doctors on this Forum, just CP(Chronic Pain) Patients that share our experiences with each other.

How wonderful for you to have met the love of your life. I'm very excited that this has happened for you. However, I'm sorry that you are experiencing such a painful flow with your period. Some more information would help such as your age, and if you have always had problems with your periods and if there was a reason that you hadn't had a period for 6 to 7 months.

All of these questions would help us to be able to try to come up with some suggestions as to what might be going on. Without knowing your age it would be impossible to be able to come up with an answer.  Your problems could be serious gynecological problems or as simple as possibly starting menopause. That's why we need to have your age. An estimate such as 15 to 20, 20 to 30,  30 to 40,  40 to 50, etc. is sufficient as sometimes we ladies don't like to give out that info.  LOL

You definitely need to see a gynecologist about the cramping but the other things are age dependent.

I would go see your gynecologist or to an emergency room if you are having a lot of bleeding and cramping, for there is the possibility that you are having or had a miscarriage,
