Hi, vagisil only stops the itching, has nothing in it to cure the infection.  Use monistat 7 for 7 days and it should go away.  IF you get a lot of yeast infections, you should see you dr to rule out any underlying conditions, like diabetes and so on.  Good Luck!

If you self treat, any test that the doc does next week will be worthless. You could make matters worse if it isn't even a yeast infection. Try icing the area with a bag of frozen peas or a cold beer bottle.  You could also try a sitz bath.

Buy Monistat 7 at your local drugstore.  This should work for the infection.  Vagisil won't cure a yeast infection.  It will only help give temporary relief from itching.
