Be Sober, be Vigilant; because Our adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion,
  seeking whom he might devour.
Resist him Steadfast in Faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by
  your Brotherhood in the World.
But May The GOD Of All Grace, who called Us to HIS Eternal glory by The Christ Jesus,
after you have suffered a while, Perfect, Establish, Strengthen, and Settle you.

                                                                                      1 Peter 5:8-10

When we feel anxious, worried, or in a weakened state We should look to our most
Wonderful Faith through Christ Our Lord Who Lives And Reigns With Us For Ever and
Ever. Amen. Dare to Go Forth and do Good, be Kind, be Compassionate and lets
give it Our best Effort to Represent our Faith in GOD and the Christ by being the
the Difference in a sometimes cruel, misguided world. Let's Carry On With Our GOD
Given Spirits And Show The World We Don't Know The Meaning Of "Tapping Out" for
It is not in Our Vocabulary. The world needs "GOD's Team" More Then Ever.

Stay Strong And Be Vigilant My Good Brothers And Sisters!!!!

Yeah, it's a daily thing, and if we start getting lax or lazy or acting like we think we've got it all together then the devil will be able to get in there and trip us up. We all are suceptable to the devil and getting tripped up, even pastors. They're just as human as anybody else. It's only by grace that any of us are saved. We are no better than anyone else. Our own works are as filthy rags to the Lord. We have to fully rely on Him. We're not going to be able to do anything in our own strength. But God is faithful and will help us when we ask.

I agree with bold. I think it's a difficult thing because we are to be set apart yet we're not supposed to cut ourselves away from the world thinking that everyone else is doomed or so the world looks at us like weirdos. I think it has to be healthy- we go with the laws of the land but if they conflict with God we simply cannot do it.

It's hard because we're living in a time when we're tempted by everyone and everything to do what the world is doing and we are prone to sin but we know we aren't supposed to give in to sin. It has to be a daily commitment truly and God has given us everything we need to aid us in our battle for eternal life.

"Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace" Romans 8:5,6

Good answer, Bold. We live in this world but have to set an example because others look to us to see Christ in us. If we sit around and cuss, get drunk, have affairs, lie, cheat and steal, how would anyone see a difference in us and others? And how would that attract people to Christ? Besides, acting like the world grieves the Holy Spirit. We have to live by the spirit and not by the flesh. That can be so hard because our flesh is the first thing to react. That's why it's so important to stay close to God, be in His Word and be yielded to Him. It's only by staying close to the Lord that we can live in the spirit and not in the flesh. His spirit is there to help us. Sure, we will fall but if we can pick ourselves back up quickly, repent, and yield ourselves to the Lord again He will help us to get stronger and stronger in this.

Believers in Jesus Christ are simply in the world—physically present—but not of it, not part of its values (John 17:14-15). As believers, we should be set apart from the world. This is the meaning of being holy and living a holy, righteous life—to be set apart. We are not to engage in the sinful activities the world promotes, nor are we to retain the insipid, corrupt mind that the world creates. Rather, we are to conform ourselves, and our minds, to that of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2). This is a daily activity and commitment.
