Where was your favorite International travel place?

Where was your favorate international travel place? I love international traveling. My last trip was to the"Grotto" in Lourdes, France 'and Paris in August 08'  Everyone should visit France at least once in there life time, it's so quaint and beautiful. They have the most amazing churches I have ever seen dating back to the 1700's. I am planning a trip to Israel within 1-2 yrs.

Thank you for the advice, which I will definately take into consideration.I worked for the Archdiocese of Chicago and was strongly advised by many people in my parish (Priest, Business Manager and some parishoners to to travel at that particular time). Political turbulance and instability stopped me from being there last year and the fear that someone might decide to target Americans for bring awareness to their cause, so I decided to wait for who know what, but  I am excited at just the thought of being in Israel:)   Thanks for sharing, Judy

As my husband said to me - I am more likely to be killed driving on the highway here than I am in Israel.  Don't take public transportation and stay away from the contested areas and you're fine.

Thank you so much for sharing and I looked forward to my "Israel" trip. There is so much going on politically with Israel and I didn't travel earlier, because it simply was not safe to do so, but I definately want to visit the holy land...thanks again for sharing..Judy

I've travelled to Mexico, the U.S., Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Antigua.  For work I have travelled to England, Denmark, and spent a lot of time in Sweden.  Two years ago we spent 10 days in Israel.  My husband was good friends with a distributor he had worked with and they toured us everywhere.  Really fascinating trip and quite eye opening.  It is impossible to understand the issues in that area without visiting.  There is no clear or easy answer.  I really, really, want to take a trip to Greece, Italy and France.  I guess I'd better get selling!

One of my favorite places is the Cayman Islands. I love the beach there. The sand is beautiful.  The people were just wonderful. I've only been to the Islands on the East Coast Canada and London. I'd  love to go to Spain....Oh yeah I've been to Mexico as well.

I lived in Puerto Rico for 2 yrs. as a child. I am of Puerto Rican heritage and it's beautiful, because it's a small tropical island similar to Hawaii....I hope you have a great trip & vacation.  Best seafood ever....Judy

The only place I ever went to that was out of the States was Mexico lol. Its not even that far. When i lived in San Diego we use to park our car in the parking lot in San Diego and then we would walk across the border to Mexico. I love traveling but never really went International. I really want to go to Greece and Paris. When I was younger I use to want to be a Flight Attendant just so I can travel. But as far as traveling in the U.S. I travel alot. My Hubby and I always plan small trips to California, Vegas, and other parts of FL. We're going to Puerto Rico in 4 weeks and I'm soooo excited. I can't wait, I need a vacation!!

I took me 1 full year to plan the trip to France and the flight was soooo long and seat uncomfortable and very small, but it was worth it. Lourdes is beautiful, picture perfect. It will be a while for another international trip, so for now....small trips to VEGAS...chachin!!!

i want to go to Europe SOOOO bad. it was always a dream of mine to backpack across europe before getting married and having kids but...meh plans change. (now those hostile movies have me completely freaked out about backpacking anywhere. lol) i'm hoping once the kiddos get older and we have the money we can plan a few visits to france, england, ireland, germany and russia. (possibly some tropical paradises thrown in there as well.

The only places I have been outside the US was Mexico about 15 years ago and then I went to Canada about 10 years ago, but it was only for their autumn train ride. I live in the Southern US, so to see the leaves change color and the snow to fall is different for me, also it was soooo cold! LOL

My love for travel started when I was a Flight Attendant for ATA. The pilot would put the cockpit on auto and I has the chance to see the most amazing view of nothing but pure sky and the blue waters of the ocean. Some people are terrified of flying, I love it!

lol i've only been to canada (other than the u.s of course) but it was GREAT. i was 8 or 9 and my family, family friends and i went on this 2 1/2 week camping trip in the middle of the wilds of canada (by quebec) it was so quiet, isolated and just the most beautiful place. i saw bears, moose, wolves, loons, deer and so many other things. the sky was clear and bright with the stars. let me tell you falling asleep to the sound of wolves and loons singing is quite amazing.
