New to group

Hi, I was diagnosed with GM 2 months ago, a month before that I got that painful Erythema Nodosum, which went away..Now I still have the lump, pain comes and goes, no meds, no leakage....I was just wondering if there were any other harsh symptoms to come along, if anyone else got??
Another question, I have been trying to conceive since June, and wondering if this disease could prevent??

Thanks for reading

I always think it's so interesting when I see other people who got Erythema Nodosum because not everyone gets it.  I got that too!  It was painful just to stand on my legs.  6 weeks of prednisone helped me get rid of the pain.  I had about 8 red bumps on both of my legs all near my knees.

EN hit me about 1 month into my GM. During that time, I had 5 incision and drainages before I realized that I&D only makes it worse.  My abscesses drained for a good 7-8 months.  Some holes drained longer than others, not all of the holes drained for a straight 8 months.  Sometimes they would close and open back up.  It drained a clear yellow fluid and I wore breast feeding pads to catch all the fluid.  When it was ready to close, it closed up all on its own.  Pain the breast went away around 5 months in.

I have healed naturally by following the PALEO diet, taking TheraCurmin (Curcumin, Turmeric: natural anti inflammatory) from my naturopath doctor, and regularly going to acupuncture.  All my abscesses have healed and closed, breast has shrunk and softened and now my scars are slowly fading.  Just thought I'd give you an idea what I went through.  I'm sorry you have to deal with this, but there is hope... there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Once I accepted it, realized it must have happened for a reason, embraced it, I was able to live a much happier life WITH it.  And now I'm happy its gone.  =)  I wish you well.  Keep in touch!

I suffered from EN too and it was the most painful thing ever.  It still makes me want to cry thinking about it now.  I could not stand on my feet in the morning without tears and holding onto something. My 3 year old had to help me get my pants (I'm from the Uk so I don't mean trousers but underwear) over my feet as I could not do it myself.  It has gone but the IGM goes on I'm afraid.  My IGM experience has so far lasted about 9 months and I currently have an abcess on my right breast which is slowly healing, am on steroids, my face has gone puffy and I am suffering  from numbness in my face.  I am waiting to see a neurology specialist about the numbness but can only imagine that everything is linked or I am becoming paranoid!!! Everyone's experience seems to be different though so please do not think that you will go through the same things as us.  This forum is so useful to chat to other sufferers and to know that you are not alone.  Best wishes x

Just to share my experience. I had completely recovered from GM 1yr ago after suffering for 1.5yrs.  Had done 1 Biopsy but it made it worst.  My advice is just stop all the treatmen n medication as it useless and waste money.  GM is cause by hormones thus there is nothing we can do. Biopsy will worsen the infection. After I stop all the medication for 1yr. . N it healed up naturally.  All I have to say it's take time.  Give yourself at least 1-2yrs time. Now I only left r the scars from GM. Anyone know what's the best way to get rid of the scars?
