I am going on Enbrel - anyone have experience with this

Hi

I have been fighting this disease since 2007.

I am a bit of an unusual case for IGM as I have never had children, or breastfed.

I have had spinal involvement, with inflammation at the base of my spine, for some years.  I also have spinal arthitis and disc degeneration.

I am going to try a trial of Enbrel, which modifies immune reaction (shuts down your body's immune reactions in a specific way) in a few weeks.

Has anyone else tried this?

I have such pain I am pretty much on the sidelines of life, so pretty much ready to try any new treatment at this point.  Yes, I realize the side effects of Enbrel.

Hi JoJo,

I'm not sure if you remember me. I haven't been active on this page in quite a while, but I feel like I know you from reading your story and posts a long time ago.

I am so sorry that you are feeling so poorly. I hate this disease.

I was doing much better for a long time, but I am having a horrible flare up now. This is the worst that I have had this disease. I have had it for 4.5 years now. It is so very discouraging.

I have refused treatment all along because that is what feels right for me, although the pain has been so horrible this time that I have considered trying something. But for now, I'm going to stay the course.

My breast surgeon is my primary physician for managing this disease. She has been working with a rheumatologist to come up with a treatment plan. She has a handful of other patients with this disease. For the last year she has wanted to try Enbrel, but can't find a volunteer. She had one, but that patient turned out to not be eligible because of another health condition.

I told my doctor that you are trying Enbrel, and she asked if I could get your doctor's name and contact information. Would you be willing to share that info in a private message, or here?

Also, I am so curious to hear how it goes for you with the Enbrel? Have you started it yet? Is it helping? Are you having side effects? It is injections, right? Are you tolerating them well? Did you ever try methotrexate? If so, how did it work for you?

I live in Tucson, AZ. If I remember correctly, you are in Canada, right?

Again I'm so sorry to hear that you are not doing well. I had hoped that your quiet on this page meant you were doing better.

Do what I did and you will recover. Thanks to failed reputed doctors, I was almost bedridden by GM auto immune responses. My surgeon was shocked to see my dramatic change in a few days of treatment of homeo.

Find the most reputed homepath you can, and get treatment.

I am a doctor in medical research and have recently given up all sorts of medical treatments for my family, since I discovered how homeopathy can cure ANY disease under the sun. But my treatment from GM was from my aunt in India who also gave me a intense diet to complement my treatment. She is amazing. I'm sure you can research to find a similar homeopath.

I now cure fever, croup, tummy problems etc in my family with only homeopathy from her. It works when nothing else works, e,g in viral diseases. Often I see recovery after 10 min if the drug is right.

For my GM, my inflammation and oozing regressed dramatically in 12 hours.  My body got back strength in weeks. I recovered completely in 4 months ( no more oozing or inflammation) and lump went away completely 8 months after first treatment.

If you say, you can try anything, do this. You have nothing to loose.

I hope you see this, can you give me any information on the homeopath you used? I am about to see my doc in the next weeks and I am really not looking forward to steroids, any information you can give would help. Oils? Diet? anything, thank you

Hi!
First of all welcome back! and thank you for this forum.
I have had Gm for 2 years now, and have been 6 months without an abscess.
Didn't take any medication, just let GM be..bur out by it self, and Doctor's are impressed. On last check out there is no inflammation sign in my breast, it is going back to normal (hair is growing back around my nipple.. I always hated it but now I love it! LOL).
I took ALOE VERA and did HANSI method, which is the same as Enbrel but with different name as I live in Uruguay - South America.

I have mentioned Enbrel to some girls on a Facebook GM group we have.

I hope this helps!
Take care
