Gamma gobulin

I haven't visited the forum for a while.
I have been seeing Dr. Susan Waserman (amazing doctor) in Hamilton, Ontario.  She ran all types of tests and has recently started me on IV gamma gobulin with the thought that new antibodies will help me fight off this recurrent problem.   I was given IV steroids first with two tylenol (to help with the headaches that steroids will cause) .  I had a serious side effect to the gamma and was given IV benadryl (slept really well).  I am scheduled for the 2nd (of 6) in a couple of weeks.   If I have another reaction,  there will be no further treatment.
Have any of you ladies had this treatment course?

I thought that I had replied but, it didn't show up.
I have had ongoing problems.  Is it the IGM now?   I have developed so many other problems that they seem to be overlapping.    I have developed allergies to all antibiotics available in Canada.  Not slight allergies but aniphlaxis shock.   I saw infection control doc on Thursday and she is reviewing my file to see which antibiotic I can be desensitivised to that will work both with the IGM infections and bronchitis and/or pneumonia that I get.    I also have a spot on my lung and glaucoma as well as severe asthma....and as most ladies will tell you, depression which comes along with the GM.
Do not be discouraged from my case;  most women experience no reoccurance after a bilateral mastectomy.

Thank you Jo.
I hope that I can share some great news with others.  Wouldn't it be wonderful to find that gamma gobulin either through IV or injections work?  What news to pass on to others.

HI

SO HAPPY TO HEAR FROM YOU

Just wrote you a long post and then somehow erased it - So, so happy that you have found a good, supportive doctor.  I really hope that the next treatment goes well, without side effect and you find the healing you need through this process.  YOU so deserve it, my friend.

Please let us know how it goes - I think it would be great to share as I have never heard of this treatment before.

Wishes and prayers

Your friend, Jo
