Just diagnoised, anyone ever cures?

Hello everyone,
I'm a 27 yo, I'm just diagnoised with this disease.
at the beginning,in last March I felt pain on my right breast, then I found a lump, went to a breast specialist, they said its an abscess and started taking biopsies, and ultrasounds, everything was sent to the lab and tested. The results were benign but no bacteria! So it was an infection with no bacteria..
now after nine months,my Dr did a sugery 2 weeks ago which is called open cut for the abscess, and the cut is still open, then I found a thick tissue in my breast after the surgery, after that my Dr  diagnosed me with that disease..
I'm on erythromycin antibiotic..I took a lot of antibiotics b4, cand now I'm on erythromycin...
can anyone tell me if this is a dangerous disease??..
is anyone cured and cleaned of that disease??
I read about chemotherapy and breast removal, but I don't wish for that, I don't want that kind of treatment,I'm afraid.
what's the best thing?
is it really that it goes and heals by itself after 14month?

Update:
today the breast specialist changed the dressing with the packing...she also gave me another antibiotic, so I'm on two antibiotics at the moment..they r Erythromycin and Metronidazole..the open cut still open since the operation, it's been three weeks..
anyone been on those antibiotics?
how much will it take to heal from the opening cut?
still have abscesses, when are they gonna heal?
if anyone can help I'll be thankful.

Hello 87girl, I have read some stories where the person has said they were cleared of this disease. I don't know if I can include myself as cleared also because I read in this forum that it can return, but for now i don't have anything happening it's clear of pus all I have left is a scar from the whole ordeal. I am not sure about it taking 14 months to clear out, I think everybody's body is different. I noticed the lump in my breast in November 2013 but didn't go to the doctor until the end of December 2013 and that's only because my nipple started getting inverted, so I looked it up on webmd and all I saw on the screen was cancer, cancer..this freaked me out. I was referred to a breast specialist where for about a month they had me on antibiotics and steroids which did nothing really. I then was scheduled for a mammogram . By then the pus had already started secreting so I started using gauze in my bra to hold the leakage. The mammo showed I had a lump in my breast which we already knew, so I was scheduled for a biopsy which I had done 2 weeks later this is where I was diagnosed with granulomatous mastitis. My doctor then told said it should run its course between 12-14 months sometimes linger depending on our bodies. After the pus drained out, it started drying out and healing itself and now I have a scar left where it was. I took pictures throughout the whole process, it's unbelievable what the body can do.

Hello imurillo78
So far I believe that I'm just like ur case, I had another surgery to remove a fistula and some abscesses and after that last surgery I didn't notice a lump, But I still get some pain from time to time and from the surgery scar there is some little puss coming out, I contacted my dr, he said as long as it's getting out and draining by itself then there is no need to drain it in the clinic, just clean the puss and live with it till it goes as it came by itself..
Thanx for replying and I hope that some people find this post useful

So the treatment for your was just to let it run its course? With no antibiotics or any pain killers? Did it go away?
I am very frustrated with my case. It will be a year in may 2015 since this problem appeared.
I had gone thru biopsy to luckily find out it was not cancer, and it took several months to finally diagnosed me with GM.
I have been given antibiotics, pain killers, steroids, antibiotics again and it does not go away.
Now, It is swollen, with lumps, doctor said it is inflammation w fluid. A pouch was forming right next to the nipple area which aspiration had to be performed in order to give me relief. It is purplelish and very uncomfortable.
How are you doing now? Do you still have it?

Hello rm17
It took them around 8 months until they diagnosed me correctly.
It all started with me in March 2014 and at first they were suspecting that it was cancer...I took uncountable ultrasounds and uncountable biopsies until at last they diagnose me rite...and through that time I was on different types of antibiotics and went on two surgeries the first one was open cut and it took around two months open and I was changing the dressing every day...and the second surgery was for the fistula which as the doctor said it became as a result from the first surgery...he said that I should not agree for the first surgery as in his opinion doctors should take away their knives with  this disease , because he think the only good way is to drain the puss and take antibiotic...after the second surgery which was in December 2014 I didn't notice anything but the scar tissue is thick which I can feel it by my hand..,and in March I noticed an abscess draining out by itself from the surgery cut..
I contacted the doctor he said just let it drain by itself as long as it is draining by itself and I should not drain it in clinic as long as it's open by itself...and today it also opened by itself and the puss came out ..
I'm feeling better as long as it's not something dangerous and when I remember that some patients in this forum said that it goes and it comes I feel more comfortable...
When I remember my first post in this forum I say thanks god because I was very sad and I was lost, unlike now, I feel that I'm living with this disease until it will go as it came..
I hope you find my posts useful and I hope that you all get well soon.
