symptons tied to menstrual cycle

I was diagnosed about a year ago with IGM and opted to treat it holistically instead of with steriods or mtx. I have been symptom-free for about 10 months but I occasionally feel twinges lately that come and go but they seem to be aligned with my menstral cycle -- I feel them just before my period is due. Wondering if that is just coincidence or if anybody else has had this.

I am probably older than most of you -- 47 -- because I had my daugther at 40 and bc most people seem to present with IGM a few years after nursing. I was diagnosed at 45. So, my body is starting to change hormonally and I wonder how this might impact my IGM.

I have definitely noticed that breast pain that coincides with my period is worse since I have my diagnosis.  The pain is also different in the breat that has flareups compared to the one without.  I figured it's just another part of this that we have to deal with now.

I read your post and have started paying attention to see if there are flare ups during my period.  I don't get my period since I had a procedure a couple of years ago, but I did notice that I was feeling crampy and had some spotting and that I had some pain in my breast, so I think you're right, it does have an impact. I also opted for holistic treatment instead of mtx and I feel positive about it.  I hope we can stay in touch to compare how we are feeling.
