red/purple marks on my legs

I am really worried about these dark red marks that have appeared on my leg, they are on the top of my leg. They only appeared about 2 days ago. There is quite a few of them in one area, they look like the same as when you have pinched a bit of the skin in something. I know i have not done this. What could this be? Do you thonk i should be worried at all.

Did you see a doctor about the red spots?
I have a similar problem that I saw a dermatology about. He did not know what it was and gave me cortazone.  It took it away but came back once I stopped using it. They look like tiny red pin size red dots. that appear in clusters.  They appeared right after I had pneamonia.  Could this have something to do with it because my immune system was low.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but they can be superficial bleed from capillaries in the skin(petechiae). They may be caused in autoimmune diseases like lupus, viral infections like mononucleosis, septicemia or bone marrow diseases.

I sincerely suggest you to get the diagnosis confirmed from a dermatologist as treatment depends on the same.

I hope it helps.Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
