Passing Tussue through vagina

I have read other comments on this issue and no one seems to have the answers I am looking for either. I am passing tussue about 1"x3"x3" and I would discribe it as a big chunk of fat. It is not a blood clot and when I took it into the hospital the doctor seemed very concerned and totally had no idea what it was. I have pain while having sex and this has now happeded 3 times (every time I have my peroid). The only difference I noticed is that when I "pass" the tissue I do not only have mild pain. I have severe pain in my rectal area, lower back, low stomach and vaginal area. This pain is exactlly like contractions and start out lighter and get more and more intence as the time goes on. I have had 2 children and all three peroids I have had after my last daughter are the peroids that this has happeded during. I breastfed until 7 months so my peroids did not start again until I was done breastfeeding. I'm nervous about this, and have been to many doctors appointments to figure out what this could be. I feel bad that other people have to pay for doctor visits as I am in Canada and all of my health care is free. I will keep anyone posted if I find anything out...but please, if you know what this could be let me know.

This discussion is related to Passing (3x2 inch) sheets of tissue during menstration (NOT clots!!!)..

I experienced EXACTLY what you have described for the first time ever a few moments ago and it totally freaked me out. I did just start a new birth control and am wondering if that has anything to do with it. Did you ever find out what it is or what is causing it?

i realized that you posted this topic last year, however, I am reading it now because I am suffering from many of the same symptoms. I would like to talk further and see exactly what has happened since you last posted. I am terrified and want answers, I am tired of going to the doctor for the same issue for them to give me more birth control and tell me that it should solve the problem and stop my cycle.....I was just hospitalized last month after passing out after having a period that lasted over 104 days. My hemiglobin was at 4.0 and normal range is about 11. I was given 3 blood transfussions and the depo-provera shot and additional oral contraceptives as they felt this would eliminate my bleeding......suprise that not even a month after this fiasco I have currently been on my cycle for 11 days and passed tissue twice and it was excrutiatingly painful like I was having contractions. I have also had blood clots in addition to this and continuous pain in my lower back, legs, pelvic girdle and abdomin, no matter what I take the pain never subsides. I go to the Doctor 2 moro morning. I am completely afraid they are going to say something i dont want to hear like cancer.
