Home Message boards on bedroom and closet doors.

For some reason decided at 9pm to start painting the doors in my hallways much to the hubs dismay. Painting them with black chalkboard paint to give everyone their own message center. I'm liking it so far. Gives it a French country look. Anyone else pick totally funky times to start major projects or is it just me:-)

The paint I bought is super easy to apply and it was $11 and has covered 4 doors with paint to spare.  The kids are loving it.  I'm thinking of putting up a couple of metal strips to attach magnets to.  They could be used for notes or a makeshift easel for large paper when the kids use their watercolors.  Not sure yet I'm still kicking it around in my brain.  What do you think?

That's actually a neat idea! My son is only three, but he would love to scribble on them. :)

I also have books all over the place.  I'm going to do a family calender on one door with a place to put my favorite quote for the week.  I thought my kids would like their own to draw and so I can put reminders up for them.

That sounds cool! My mom refuses to let me put anymore posters that I want up in my room. I only have four and three of them are quite small. I have about four paintings and my mom did three. I like my room bright and cozy so I turned my bed up against the wall to look like a day bed and I have a HUGE beanbag and one of those saucer chairs and these four shelves that stack up against each other filled with stuffed animals. And books all over the place. I'm very "talkative" tonight... lol :-)
