My visit with Rheumatologist

I went to Rheumatologist on Monday for the first time. We went through the question and answer section he  checked my basic bloodwork that i had done recently and he checked me over. His thoughts were at first Lupus so he sent me for more extensive bloodwork and gave me a shot in both arms. He said that I should feel better after a couple of days of the shot and I do not feel any better. So does that mean that his first impression was wrong when it came to Lupus?

Well all of the bloodwork has come back at at the ranges they are supposed to be, don't know exact numbers. I'm back to where I started. My Rhuematologist wants me to go to a good center that specializes in myopathy. I'm really starting to get frustrated beginning to question myself. Should I be having these issues everyday as part of aging or is there something wrong, thats' what I keep asking myself nowadays.I live in Western Pennsylvania and he has suggested me going to Cleveland Clinic, John Hopkins or UPMC.

Dear Chad,
Well the referral was done rightfully by your immediate treating doctor.RA presents as painful condition of the joint associated with swelling and stiffness.Other symptoms like fatigue, aches, etc can happen also. The doctor has to see your response to his medicines. This disease can;t be cured, but can be controlled. So a good doctor controls this disease with minimal drugs and dosage.
The first impression of Lupus, might not be wrong. He may just be asking for a bit more time, to arrive at proper diagnosis for giving you the correct medicines.

Body aches, joint aches, joint swelling, fatigue and tired all the time. My Internal Medicine doctor referred me to the rheumatologist. Have visited a neurologist and he just came up with myopathy and was getting no better under him at all. I'm lost and confused as to why I feel this way.
Thanks,
Chad
