Answer/Remedy to permanent pupil dilation
My 83 year old grandmother has a permenently dilated pupil after eye surgery.
In an answer to another poster, the doctor said "If it's [the eye] still dilated 4-6 months post op its likely permanent."
What should someone do if this is the case? Are there any surgeries or medicines to correct this?

Dr. Ray T. Oyakawa answered: It can be corrected by surgery.
Dear Dr. Oyakawa, Could you possibly recommend a doctor in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area in Texas that could perform this surgery? I would be most greatful.

I have a permanently dilated pupil also after detached retina surgery. The doctor left me with double vision, permanently dilated pupil among other bad things. I just want to look normal again even if I can't use the vision in that eye. I'm in middle Tennessee. Do you know of someone who could help me? I've been stumbling around like this for over 5 years.
I would suggest Vanderbilt University, Department of Ophthalmology.
