lesions

i had an ultra sound today and was told it is a well defined hypoechoic ovoid lesion at 7o'clock position 2-3cm from nipple measuring 5.4mm  chronic (cyst on previous biopsy} Prominent ducts noted beneath the nipple lymph nodes are noted in the left axilla but show minimal reactivity.Do these things reaccur all the time, as i had one six months ago and had a needle biopsy which was benign.lDo i ignore these things or have them biopsied each time.

This discussion is related to Hyperechoic Lesion?.

Thanks for that the doctor seemed to be not worried about it.When i was diagnosed with cancer in 2003 they told me at the mamogram place i had a radial scar and it wasn't really neccessary to do anything, because they usually weren't a danger.Lucky i took my gut feeling and had it removed and yes it was cancer.I don't know as yet what this is although i had the same thing sixmonths ago and it was a cyst that they drained.I will be going further with this one as well. Thanks for your help. 241040

I would never ignore any new finding but would be comfortable following the recommendation of the Radiologist as there is most often some type of follow-up noted on the report. This of course should also be discussed with your personal Physician. Just because one finding is deemed benign does not mean that all future findings will be the same. Please, always investigate to some degree to be sure. Yes, cysts do often continue to develop.    Regards ....
