Switching from Cymbalta to Pozac

I am currently switching from Cymbalta to Prozac.  Was talking 60mg Cymbalta, doctor said to take 30mg for a week, start Prozac 20mg. I am experiencing severe leg cramps. Is that a side effect of coming off the Cymbalta?

I researched Cymbalta extensively after having terrible side effects only only 40 mg. Leg cramps were listed as a side effect whether too sensitive to it or withdrawing.

This is an old post, don't know if anyone is still on here.  But leg cramps are a common side effect of all antidepressants.  It might be because of the interference with the body's natural use of serotonin, or from their affect on absorption of magnesium.  When I first started on antidepressants I got cramps in bed at night, but supplementing with magnesium before bedtime stopped it.

I took Prozac for 7 yrs and it stopped working, doctor called it "Prozac poopout".  I was put on Cymbalta for depression and pain.  I will no longer be able to pay for the Cymbalta due to an insurance change, therefore the doctor is putting back on Prozac. I felt great previously when on Prozac and I've been off of it long enough that it should work fine now.  The power of possitive thinking.  Just wondering if anyone has had withdrawl from coming off of Cymbalta.  Maybe you should suggest your doctor putting you on Prozac, it's worth a try.

Deldawn how did you handle withdrawal from Cymbalta. It is causing me such problems. I have sensitivities to it. Want to try something elde. I take it for Fibromyalgia.

What were you put on Cymbalta for? I was put on 60mg Cymbalta for depression from my doctor and I don't think it is doing a darn thing for me. I still feel downright depressed and overwhelmed in my daily life. Why were you switched to the prozac? I am thinking I should ask my doctor to switch my medication.I don't know about the leg cramps- I'm sorry- I hope they go away though.
