Would LAC (Lupus Anti Coagulant) syndrome be hereditary?

My husband's nephew has recently been diagnosed with LAC at 14 years of age, after a long battle with blood clots following a fracture in his ankle. My husband's aunt also has been diagnosed with Lupus (though I am unsure of what type).

My daughter (15) has been diagnosed with low cortisol, and has an undiagnosed connective tissue disorder, in addition to Chiari malformation, Syringomyelia, and Tethered Cord Syndrome.  She has also tested positive for POTS prior to her brain decompression surgery.

The geneticist that we have seen once, would not test her for EDS, because she didn't fit the "classic" definition of EDS.  Plus he did not feel it would benefit her at all to have the diagnosis.

So, my question is whether or not the LAC could be hereditary at all, and should I pursue/investigate having my daughter tested for Lupus?

Thank you for your time!

Rebecca

Thank you for your reply.

My husband and I are both Caucasian, but as far as we know, we do not have an ancestor in common.

I will let you know what we learn. You've been very helpful.

Blessings,
Rebecca

Dear Rebecca,
I would like to thanks you for giving me an oppurtunity to answer your doubts.I would strongly recommend you to go for the Genetic tests and rule out the other type of diseases (including Lupus).I just want to know , whether you marriage was a consanguineous marriage or not.As we have seen that the hereditary diseases occur lot common in these sort of marriages and the recessive traits are expressed easily.
Do let me know about the results.
Regards
