Hi, I had some shortness of breath over a few days, went to the ER, they drew a bunch of tests, most of which were negative. Here are some of the positive ones:
TSH 0.26 (low)
free T3 and T4 normal
TPO 2100 !!!
ESR and CRP were normal
It looks like I'm hyperthyroid by the TSH, but the free T3 and T4 were normal. And TPO is very very high. I'm looking for more info on the internet but can't make sense of it. What does this mean? Do I have Graves? Or the first manifestations of Hashimoto's where I have transient hyperthyroidism to be followed by hypothyroidism later on? Or none of the above?? I'm pretty confused. (Also, as far as symptoms, I've had some weight loss and only one bout of diarrhea in the last few years, which happened a couple of weeks ago, followed by the shortness of breath that prompted my trip to the ER. Nothing much else so far.)
