Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
This could be due to faulty sleeping posture causing compression of upper cervical nerves. It could also be due to a brain tumor. The third possibility is a sleep disorder. Please consult a neurologist ASAP. If brain and upper cervical spine MRI are ok, then you may need to consult a sleep specialist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
I used to experience extreme headaches. They would wake me up in the middle of the night and cont throughout the day. I would suggest going to a neurologist. If a headache is waking you up while sleeping, that typically is not a good sign. The doc may want to so a CT scan or a spinal tap, if he deems it necessary. I was put on some very strong medication that seemed to do the trick. Hope everything works out : )
