Need to vent! Period is still not here and it's freaking me out

I can't talk to anyone about this so I'm just going to vent here on medhelp! So... dh and I didn't use any birth control a few times and now my period is late so I'm just freaking out. Since it's only my second period it could be late because of that right???? I really want to have another baby, but we didn't plan on ttc just yet.

I'm probably being silly, but I am panicked. We're going to vegas next weekend and this is just the worst timing. I still have baby fat from Bella.

Thank god it started tonight! Good to know that it might take awhile for my cycle to get back on track. I already told my husband I'm not having sex with him unless we have bc from now until we start ttc again. NO EXCEPTIONS!

I still haven't had a period yet at all.  But since I am exclusively BFing, it could return at anytime.  It could also be another several weeks/months before mine returns.  It's scary to me too because I haven't been using protection either.  I told DH that we were really playing w/ fire and we needed to start doing something quickly!  

But Nicole, I know after my last baby, when my periods did resume, it took a few months for them to get back to their normal length.  Not the period itself.  But the time between periods.  My cycles were like 42 days at first.  That is NOT normal for me.  Mine are normally 29/30 day cycles.  But it does take some time for our bodies to get back to normal again after having a baby and BFing.

Thanks I'm sure I'm just late and being paranoid, but you know how it is. I took a test yesterday and it was neg, but still no period. I'm going to wait until next Monday and at that point I'm over a week late and I'll test again.

Nicole, I wouldn't worry too much. My period has been way out of whack since I had Brandon, including HORRIBLE cramps. I have never had painful cramps before in life but it seems as though ever since I had the baby they are terrible/Unbearable.

You are probably just somewhat irregular...I would test just to make sure.

How late are you??? It is totally possible that, since its only your second period, you're just not regular yet.  
I would test, just in case.  Not knowing is the worst!

im still waiting for mine, we have not used b/c at all but im pretty sure im not pregnant. Have you tested at all?
