Newly Diagnosed and Feeling overwhelmed

Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with RA a few months ago and have started methotrexate. My joint pain has eased a good bit however Im suddenly feeling strange- nothing particular but just not right. Im always exusted, and im now just getting teary every time I think about everything. It doesn't matter how much I sleep Im still so tired although my iron levels are ok. I have been on methotrexate for 2 months now and at first I didn't have any side effects, however the past 2 weeks I have felt sick for 3 days after taking it. Has anyone else experienced this after at first tolerating the meds well? I don't know what to do anymore I just don't feel like myself at all - Im 24 and feel about 74! My fatigue is putting a strain on my relationship too- he is so good and doesn't say anything but I get so grumpy and snappy when Im tired and just want to sleep. Please let me know if anyone has experienced anything like this?

How much folic acid and b-12 supplement is recommended for a person suffering from RA??
Also, does the drug Cerefolin NAC help those with RA?

I too was diagnosed with RA last year,  Have made tough diet changes, lost weight, take many herbal supplements, and sulphasalazine  refused methotextrate didnt like the side effects.  I am now able to reduce my pain meds to 1 every 2 days and my blood work is impressive (my Rheumos words)  so if you are feeling unwell my advise is to be in charge of your own illness and investigate other options.  My biggest improvement came when I gave up all dairy  regards Caroline

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Dear Lynny,
Methotrexate is a type of DMRD(Disease modifying drug) and hence is a very strong medicine. Good healthy diet is a necessity for this medicine.Beside Iron levels, we need to check the Folic acid levels and Vit B12 levels, as it's known to decrease these levels also.
So would request you to have Vit B-12 and 0.5mg of Folic acid also , daily in your diet.
Rest all things look normal in you case.
All the best.
Regards..
