I'm having w/d from a 3 month Norco use

Hello all,

I have a question... I was taking Norco 10/325 mg. I started taking them as directed, then found myself taking them to feel good. After about 3 months of taking 8-10 a day, I decided to stop. BAD IDEA... After 24 hours I started to feel horrible (all the normal W/D symptoms). I'm on day 4 of not taking them, but the doc gave me darvocet to help with the W/D. Is this a problem? I still feel as if I have the flu, but can now at least function. What should I do. The Darvocet really helps with the RLS. When should I get rid of that mess? A week after stopping the Norco, or what? Please help. I will never take this mess ever again.

This discussion is related to can I be addicted after 3 months of lortab use??.

Hi and welcome to the forum. There are MANY great folks on this site~

I'm a little surprised the Dr. gave you Darvocet. It's addicting, as well. The best thing to do is to take natural/OTC meds to help you through this.  There is a product called Hylands Restful Legs that helps the RLS and Melatonin is good for sleep issues. At day 4 you should begin to feel much better very soon.  You need to eat well, force fluids and don't forget vitamins especially B vitamins.  Exercise and push yourself a little. You'll get through this.  I'd really stay away from the Darvocet.

Keep posting and good luck~
