14yrs post gallbladder removal

hi, im almost 42 years old .. female. i been pretty healthy over the years but last sept got a rash on my face and was treated with anitbiotics. 4 weeks later i had the worse flu of my life so i thought i have been vomitting, diarrhea, fevers crushing feeling across my back that goes around to my chest it feels very much like a gall bladder attack yet i had my removed when i was 28.. i have had every test you could think of just was told i have barretts disease but does not explain the crushing feeling fevers oh with headaches and diarrhea.. so just had ct scan done yesterday of my abdomen and tech said i could have a stone gall stone trapped for all these years. Has anyone heard of this? and for all these years now it is acting up. i had lumps in my neck checked came back non reactive, thank God. i am exhausted all the time and get shortness of breath if i even try to do the simplest of chores.. i am so tired of hearing it this no its that have been on 7 different antibiotics .. food is like my enemy never had a problem now when i eat even potatoes within a few minutes feels like a heart attack ...oh and my white count keeps being elevated went down twice during this ordeal but goes back up again. been at doc several times with fever and recent blood work is showing liver readings up.. it makes sense could be trapped stone from everything i have been reading but why did i not know this years ago why did it take so long. i will be getting my results from scan next day or two and also know they want to do lung check ... but they are waiting.. that is do not understand get all test out of the way in a week or two and go from there all this back and forth has caused me to waste so much time i have to get back to work asap my fmla has ran out i can still be out but my job will not be secured what do i do please if anyone has any answers please email me please.
thank you so much
Alyjoe

I had my gallbladder removed in April 1989 when I was 21 years old.  It's July 2011 and I am 43 now.  I don't suppose I have good news for anyone, other than the gift of life we all have. Although I haven't had a doctor treat me poorly or imply that I was out of my mind, this has been the most frustrating nightmare.  I started having ulcers as a fourteen year old and my doctor was good enough to prescribe Paragoric (no clue about the spelling).  I know, it's an opiate and it's a controlled substance, blah, blah, blah.  I was 14 and I kept the small bottle in my purse and swallowed a bit of it with a Coke chaser when the pain hit during class.  Never occured me to get high on the stuff like  some of todays bored kids do with anything they can.  I miss that medicine.  It worked and worked well and I was able to have a life.
Let me shorten this boring story...I still suffer folks. I have Chron's and Colitis now and I miss the days when all I had was gallbladder pain and ulcers.  When I was 26 and undiagnosed,  my GI gave me liquid Phenobarbitol (again with the spelling) explaining that it would calm my digestive tract from the "seizures" of pain.  Tasted just like the Paragoric. Worked just like it.  Again, I didn't abuse it.  It's liquid gold, folks.
If we can't be "figured out" then for the love of Ralph, PLEASE prescribe something that WORKS and gives us our lives back.
All I can say is that I have good days and terrible days, and simply haven't the courage to ask my current GI doctor for the liquid fearing a visit from the DEA shortly after I return home.  I miss my life....the one that's outside the bathroom window. Seriously.
Take care all...and I promise...you will learn to live with the pain and you'll learn to embrace the moments when it's not there.

I am 45 yrs old had my gallbladder out in '95, 16 yrs ago. Have had problems eversince. No more gallbladder attacks but bouts of extreme voming, poring diarhea, severe abdominal pain, sometimes i even pass out. Over the years ihave had numerous tests. Ovaries removed because of cysts, Uterus removed. Nothing helps . I can go months at a time and no problems or 3 to 4 times a week I am sick. I have been dealing with this for all these years. I take acid reducers in morning and night, and recently Gastro doctor added intestinal relaxers to the mix. I have cut so many things out of my diet that there is nothing left to cut. Crappy insurance with 10, 000 dollar deductable doesn't help. During these bouts I get hot , then chills, never a fever though. Am so exhausted afterwords. Last night I vomited almost a gallon of bile. My sister measured. Husband is frustrated family frustrated, and most times I feel so alone. Thank you everyone for sharing, does help a little to know I am not alone. You would think some doctor out there could figure this out.
