methadone and antidepressants

Hiya can any one help me with this? Can you take antidepressants with methadone? I've been on methadone for a long time years in fact. If any one can let me know if they are taking antidepressants while on methadone and let me know if it does help please? Thank you vina_voo x

hey girlee  well I was on methadone for 6 1/2yrs and took a variety of antidepressants
wile on the stuff some seem to work wile others dont...had good luck with celexa
dident seam to have any side effects with the done..talk to a good phyc dr and make sure they know your on methadone some things dont mix well good luck and God bless .....Gnarly

I was on methadone three years ago for about a year and at the same time i was taking an anti-depressant. It seemed to work about the same on or off methadone but the only way to know which ones will be safe for you are to talk to your doc and also benzos are usually not a good idea with methadone but definitley check with ur doc.
