what is the best food to eat after gallbladder surgery?

I had my gallbladder removed yesterday. I went into surgery at noon, and was discharged at 2:10 pm. I am reading conflicting information regarding what to eat after removal. Am I supposed to eat low fat, or am I also supposed to watch the dairy that I eat? What are good snack foods to eat? I have been drinking tomato bisque soup and juiced fruit without any problems. Any recommendations for healthy meal & drink choices?

I would have to say a low fat diet...fluids and high fiber diet helps in preventing constipation. You may experience burping and feeling of fullness coupled with gas. Low fat dairy products are good.

Avoid convienence foods and fast foods, as they tend to pack in hidden fats. Limit the use of oil to about 2-3 tsp. a day.
