How long to come off cocaine?

I have been having some major issues with my roomate (best friend).  He has been having a really hard time trying to find a job and has begun to get extremely depressed.  I had noticed that for about two weeks he was just a little more on edge.  Then the other day, he kind of flipped out on me and punched a hole in my wall.  I am currently pregnant right now so my health needs to be a little more important than him right now..

Well after him flipping out, me leaving for him to calm down, then me coming back he explained to me he had been using cocaine regularly for two months straight and had stopped about 2 weeks ago. He then proceeded to tell me he was leaving and he never wanted me to call or talk to him again.  He left but I tried my hardest to keep a tab on him by texting him regularily to let him know I was still here.  Finally, just yesterday he came back but explained he had done a whole 8-ball of cocaine by himself over the weekend.  He claims he doesnt have an addictive personality and he doesnt feel the need to do it anymore which in many cases, I do believe him BUT my problem now is that I am suffer from his extremely bad temper and mood swings.

Today was one of the best days of my life as I went to my first doctors appointments and heard my baby's heart beat but my happiness was rudely interupted by returning home to a man where anger and depression just seeps out of his pores.

So after this whole story, here is my question.  He already had a bad temper before this.  Now it is just extremely hightened... How long will it take for him to go back to normal, should I be scared and is there anything I can do to help alleviate his depression?  Right now, it seems as though the sound of my voice just pisses him off.

I'm stressed out and I know that its not healthy for my baby but I don't want to give up on him.  How can I help?

Your right, your health is more important than him right now. You believe him that he won't do coke again? He's in denial and doing coke  2 months straight is more than an addictive personality, it's addiction. You say he had a bad temper before this and now it's extremely hightened so you need to be careful.

You don't have to give up on him, but you don't need to take on his addiction and his problems. This is your best friend? Not your boyfriend? Please take care of you and the baby first. Be safe and congrats on your bundle of joy on the way:)

Savehissoul..

You need to think this through.. Your having a baby.. Do you want that baby to be surrounded by angry coke snorting people ?

If a friend of yours told you the same story you just told us, what would you suggest that friend do ?
