Ovarian Cyst

Im actually 13 years old and have never started my period. For 3 years I have had pain in my lower abdomen and had 4 visits to the ER this recent time I had a CT scan. My result is that I have an Ovarian cyst and that fluid is in my pelvis and uterus. I am supposed to see a Gynotologist for this problem tommorow, but this would maybe give me an idea for what I'm in for..

This will be my first time to a gynocologist but I had a sonogram done becuse they thought this had to do with my appendix and thought nothing of a ovarian cyst.

Wow, 13 years old, you must  be very frightened.  Chances are the gynocologist will do an internal exam, have you had one of those ever done?  He might want to do a sonogram as well.  The fluid that they see on the CT Scan could be from a cyst that ruptured, and cysts can be very common depending on the time of your menstural cycle.  Chances are the doctor will have you come back in a few again to check and see if there are any changes.  There is a cyst forum and many of those women might be better at answering your questions.  Good luck!!!
