Anxiety causing problems with tonsils

Hi all I have posted on here a few weeks ago. Im just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this. I have been under chronic stress/anxiety for a while now. Recently i had developed white spots on my tonsils and went to doctor and she said they were tonsil stones. Im just curious could this be due to stress b/c before all of this i never had issues with my tonsils. My doctor said since my body has been so drained and rundown due to stress that it makes it harder for the body to fight off bacteria and infection and could be the issue with me. I have been tested for all things including stds, normal blood work and everything is fine. Can someone please let me know if they have experienced this because i am so scared and its making me even more paranoid and i cant sleep behind this. can stress and anxiety really be this powerful?!

I get stress induced tonsillitis all the time. As a kid I always had problems with my ear and throat. About 5 years ago my tonsillitis got so much worse and antibiotics didnt do anything so it never went away. Anything that caused me slight stress would cause my tonsils to get worse. For example going on holiday, exams, deaths, school etc.
So in novemeber 2017 I got them removed (age 17) and now I still get stress induced tonsillitis because they didn't removed all of it. Now i get puss ulcers on the back of my throat and on my tonisillis area and on all the scar tissue they be left

It's been 4 years since u posted up anything but I say yes anxiety and stress can do about anything. I was told the same things it's just tonsil stones which is like good particles that just build up and u can remove urself and I tried but it hurt. And I also got a yeast infection due to stress. I think my immune system is weak right now. Which scares me because I'm not trying to get sick. But I got anphysical done and they said everything is good and I got tested for stds and I came out negative on everything. Don't know what's wrong with me but I've been feeling sick lately and it's due to stress I guess.

i am the same i hate taking meds and chose not to,they scare me too,i just take it day as it comes, and hope for the best, the mind is a powerful tool and i have taught mine to rethink how i am feeling, seems to be working,i just believe that even though it holds alot of physical sides to it,it is def controlled more by our minds and only we can stop fuelling the situation more.be brave and good luck in the choices you make

Stress and anxiety can be pretty powerful. If your body is run done then you can get infections more easily. Make sure your eating well and taking vitamins. Are you taking anything to help with your anxiety?  Remar

o yes it can be,in fact it can be as powerful as we allow it to,the physical symptoms that we have are so horrible and scary and we then makes the situation ten times worse by sitting there and thinking that it is ten times worse, dont get me wrong you go to the docs when you feel like this it never hurts to get things checked out,but in time and maybe with a bit of help you will learn to control your minds thoughts and cope a bit better, hope this helps good luck.
