Sore Tongue (Oral thrush and mouth ulcers)

I have had oral thrush on my tongue since march 2007 until now (8th July 2010). I am constantly  going to my doctor ( every month, even every few weeks at times)  but every time I see someone they just fob me off with antibiotics. I have taken nystatin, fungilin lozenges, oral-base, amoxicillin, dactarin, corsodyl, pennicillin, salt water, another green mouthwash (cant remember the name of it), corlan pellets (hydrocortisone) and the list goes on but it just gets more aggresive. I am now 25 and have been suffering almost constantly since I was 21. I am definetly aware that this is weakening my immune system but I don't know what to do as these doctors keep ignoring this condition. I am begging you PLEASE HELP ME!!!

people who are at greater risk of developing oral thrush are who has dry mouth, dentures, poor immunity, who take medication, those who smoke.
and the diets which u should avoid i honey, soft drinks, lollies, chocholates, sweet desserts, cakes, biscuits etc.means sugary foods.ok.and the food u should take is wholegrains cereals, fruits and vegetables.
and garlic is a natural antibiotic and u should include it in every diet.
ok i was searching and i find thst astragalus is a herb with a long history of tradional use in chinese herbal medicine.clinical trials have shown astragalus to have immune enhancing properties.this herb may be specially beneficial in cases of chronic, recurring oral thrush.and it also strengthen and protect the immune system.i never used this herb.but u can ask ur gp or pharmist before using this if u want.
2)PROPOLIS:
propolis a natural bee product ,has antimicrobial properties which may help to eliminate the candida organism.but i havent use this.but u may ask ur gp about thsi.that which one can u take.and what can u take more with it and what u can not.
but what i use for thrush is ''Nystatin''.......once my husband got a big ulcer in his throat and what dr prescribed him is nystatin and a ''DIFFLAM SPRAY''iths only for reducing the pain.and ''CORSODYL''mouthwash.they all are helpul.but if i will find more i will send post........

I dont want to alarm you but a normal adult should not be getting thrush. You need to be checked for autoimmune diseases, like diabetes and AIDS, both which allow thrush to grow, someone with a normal immune system will not get it.

I personally haven't tried this but I have read alot about COLLIDAL SILVER.
Its good for many things internal and external and safe to use, its avail from most health outlets or homeopathic stores.
I HAVE been using it on my cat for an autoimmune disease he has, he gets open sores on his face and one dab clears them right up. I also have given him a few drops orally to boost his immune system.
Perhaps your thrush has become resistant to the antibiotics your doctor keeps giving you?
good luck

Wow.  I can't imagine your misery.  The one and only time I had full-blown oral thrush, it was caused by high-powered antibiotics after surgery.  Even water tasted horrible.

I really don't understand why the doctors are giving you antibiotics to treat thrush.  The antifungal meds, fine, but the rest make no sense.  All I can think of is to pick up some acidopholus pills and take them regularly and see what happens.  I've had thrush try to gain a foothold with every round of penicillin-related antibiotics, but taking acidopholus at the same time got rid of it.

Doctors don't moderate this forum, but maybe someone else will have another idea for you. You certainly have my sympathy!
