Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I can understand your concern. Raised alkaline phosphatase (The normal range is 44 to 147 IU/L (international units per liter).is often found in a growing child and at puberty. Repeat the tests and see for the levels are too high to be considered normal for his age. There are several bone disorders too that can raise this enzyme like rickets (ruled out), osteomalacia, Paget’s disease of the bone, tumors, metastasis, parathyroid gland disorders and recent fracture.
Please discuss these possibilities with a pediatric orthopedic doctor.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
That is terribly high. A retest would be in order with many more Chemistry tests.
