Does one have pain with diverticulosis?  Does diverticulosis and IBS often go together?


This discussion is related to IBS pain relief?  I might have found it..

I didn't know I had diverticulosis. I have belly pain and underwent colonoscopy, pelvic ultrasounds, KUB, lots of blood work, and a CAT SCAN  CAT SCAN showed the diverticulous. Still have belly pain, though it is somewhat less since starting IBS diet.

Those with diverticulosis often don't know they have it. When it turns to diverticulitis then there is definite pain.

IBS and diverticulosis do not automatically go together. Patients often get labeled with IBS when docs don't know what else to blame pain problems on.
