Colon Cleaning

I am starting a colon cleaning diet with maximum burn and natural clean, because I had seen online at the CNN website that it really works fast. The products are cheep to buy as a trial and this is my second day on the pills. I only want to clean out my body and loose a bit of the belly flab, is this diet as safe and simple as I had heard? Has anyone on Medhelp ever tried the diet before?

This discussion is related to What is the best product to buy when looking for detoxification/cleansing products?.

I just found that out yesterday, Acai berry is & the Natural Cleanse are together a scam!!!! Well the product does help clean out the digestive system, but the free trials are not free and once you sighn up it wants to charge and send bottles every 15 days, and canselation is nearly imposible. I had to close my bank card and start another, thankfully I was only charged one round, but I will never order again! Even if they work better by the end of the month, unethical marketing and misleading advertising turned me off from the product. Thank for the warning Paxided, I wish I would have posted sooner, before I bought the product. Oh, well live and learn.

If this is the Natural Clean I'm thinking of, it's for cleaning drugs out of your system to pass a drug test, not a colon cleanser.  Maximum burn is a scam -- acai berry is, like all berries, high in antioxidants, but it won't help you lose weight.  Real colon cleansers are based on fiber such as psyllium and some have laxatives in them, which aren't healthy, such as diet teas.  There are healthy colon cleansers out there, but they clean your colon, they don't make you lose weight unless you stay on them for a long time and evacuate too often, which means you lose nutrients you need.  So no, this isn't a good way to lose weight.  Colon cleansing, if you use the right products, is a good thing to do periodically to clean out toxins that can get stuck in the digestive system, but you never do it for very long.  But to lose weight long-term, and keep it off, you have to adjust your calorie burning and your diet -- you know, the stuff you've always heard, good fats instead of bad fats, eating low on the sugar metabolism scale, and the like.

Now that it has been a week, I can say that it has started to clean out my system. I don't really think I am lighter yet, but I do feel a bit more perky. I also seem to be drinking a lot more water, which is a good thing. The program says to try it for 4 weeks, so I'll go for the full month. Since I am more comfortable with the program this week I will do the recomended two pills, because last week to monitor my body I only took one of each.

My hairdresser has been doing this type of dieting on a regulat basis.  Although she says that the weight really hasn't melted off as she had hoped, she continues to do it because she feels so much better, more energized.  Good luck!
