Side Effects

Hi I'm new to this site. In Jan. of 09 I had cervical fusion, in Dec. of 09 I had lumbar fusion. In Aug. I started the treatment (Pegasys Interferon and Ribavirin).I was wondering is treatment intensifying the aches and pains from the surgeries and I've developed several rashes.I go to see my GI on the 17.I asked him about my Viral load last month he said it was 747,386 I'm not sure of the date, and in October  a woman ran over my left foot throwing my left knee to the pavement could this had hurt my lumbar healing?

This discussion is related to my G.I. Dr. ignoring my disease.

I had a spinal fusion in 71.  A skiing accident caused 1 crushed and 2 fractured lumbar vertebrae. Over the years I have developed stenosis and have pain intermittently.  During treatment there were days I thought my back was going to break in half and the pain generated from the damaged area.  I am quite sure the treatment drugs exacerbated the existing pain.  After treatment cessation things went back to what is my "normal".

I'm on my 33rd week of tx and yes, my back often hurts me, all the way from the base of my skull to my tail bone... not every time... sometimes it is just my lower back and down my legs, or my upper back and an arm or two. I think it is inflammation around the nerves. That's my opinion anyhow.
The injury to your foot didn't help much with your lumbar healing. Be careful out there... sounds like your body has really been through it.
