Confused.com?

Please can you help me. I have had 3 false negative results for hep c and i am having problems getting someone to tell me why?????

Get the test and then move on with your life reather than worry.

Have your doctor order qualitative HCV test. Then you can put this to rest. It will simply state Negative or Positive. Rest assured if this test results are Negative then you do NOT have Hepatitis C and can move on with your life.  Good luck

I'm confused too if I had three separate negatives I'd be pretty sure I didn't have the disease and that would be GREAT news not something to bum about!

Perhaps I’m the one that’s confused; are you referring to false positive antibody results? And if so, how do you know they’re false positive?

From a clinical perspective, as long as you are HCV RNA by PCR negative, then infection isn’t an issue.

If you can post actual tests and their results, someone might be able to help.
