What If.......

What if for one day there was no violence there was no death?

What if religion was never created?

What if people had to suffer the pain they caused to others.

What if we could let go of the things that keep us from seeing the answers?

Then we would obtain wisdom but the answers may consume us sometimes there is more in not knowing unfortunately.

What if we could change faster when we realize we need to and that others around us would accept the good the changes bring?

OMG I wish it was this way I would be so less ****** up.

What if we could know why we keep asking in many different ways the same questions that lead us in circles instead of action?

We ask these questions over and over because we feel unhappy with the answer. To take action would be great but I dont know about you but I'm too scared of the world to stand againist out loud so ill do it quitely. But the truth is many people try to take action and we stomp them down and shut them up. so people do act but the reaction is often an unfortuna demise. You know what a great example look up real hero's. Its about people who dress up and try to fight crime,

What if

              There was a single religion

we found life on another planet

that planet had its own religion

Everything bad for you became illegal

            What if it became legal?

What if a women came fourth saying she was the daughter of god and was here to save our souls.

Would she have to perform miracles for you to follow
Would you say she was lieing

I agree its is our nature to believe but then what does that say about all of that. We want to believe then all someone has to do is have a good enough argument and we will believe. Cults show this and no religion likes to bundle with a cult but they ALL brain wash even if its just a little. They convince you they are the only ones who can be right and those who dont follow are wrong. I find it funny that the difference to a cult is not really that big. Now I know I'm going to get flamed with cults are evil devil worshiping things. I agree with the fact that cult most of the time are not good things and that a realigion is better. But they share qualitys and people are kinda blind to that.

Yes a bad apple does spoil the bunch but the sad thing is we dont deal with those bad apples. I agree that every action effect another. All around the world people turn the cheek and wait for god to fix it. Do you think that in the over two thousand years of bloodshed and murder that it would have happened by now. I don't think this world is going to change by divine force. I think one day we will finaly pervert ourselves to the extent that the human race with stop existing. and If I still exist in some form I will be laughing. I pray there is a spirit world or something that is better then this place. We speak of the devil but look around I see demons every day walking the street and they dont have horns no they look like you and me. They may have kids and they may look nice.

Sorry started kinda ranting there. But the world is in a sad state people raping each other and the people who see it just keep walking.  Maybe god will save us I don't know it just seems so hopeless

OMG that would be different. But in some ways its not possible. To truly listen and understand someone else we would have to have felt there pain and felt there reaction. Its a hard thing to even relate to others but to go beyound that would be almost impossible if it isn't already. Even if both you and me get hit by lighting (cross finger that never happens) and we suffer the exact same injury we would still more then likly come out of it different. You may realize life is short and live for the moment while I become afried that I'm cursed and hide away. and Sure you may understand the being hit by lighting but you wouldn't understand my fear. I don't know was that kinda off topic?

My thoughts

I think a day without any suffering would be so insane that it would destroy reality lol
It would be intersting at least. The thing is would people just wonder the street because in some way there lives have always been about hurting someone else to make themselves better.

I agree that religion is in our nature but I've tried to weigh the benefits of it and the evils. Well I don't think it would change much.  War would still happen just not for beliefs some other pity thing would be thought of. People might live more in the moment. People would finding some other connection to bring people together. So I can't say whats better for some religion gave hope while other where prosecuted with it.

I think it would be good for some people to feel what they have caused to other. Maybe then they will understand there evils. But we hurt other without knowing it so would we become better at know what would hurt other to do and say.

Very good.  It takes a heart willing to focus on another words/thoughts/actions etc. in order to listen.  So much involved before/after actions.

I like what you shared.  It enlarges the idea.

Interesting concept, listening to each other.  I'd suggest that it is almost impossible to actually listen.  I've been told that there is listening and hearing.  Not so sure I fully grasp the difference between the two....

Anyhow, I respect other people's opinion greatly.  This is where some of the greatest ideas of our times have derived from.  What bothers me is, when someones opinion is completely mired in lies, and they haven't the time to listen to the truth.... the actual undeniable facts as they stand.

I do think it's wonderful that we are allowed to have our own opinions.  I think it is a tragedy to try to impress our impression without facts, and a bigger tragedy to not accept facts as truth.

I believe that as humans were created with a need to worship something. I know that everyone has thought about the question of where we came from and what life is all about. It just is part of our very being and we can't help it when something bad happens to us, we just have to start praying and making ultimatums.

As for what if this world had no sickness and no violence. I think its a wonderful thing to think of but I don't think it would ever happen without Jesus. Things happen that alter the way we think, our pride etc. all cause each and everyone of us to behave negatively to others. It just seems like society is getting worse and worse and ultimately sin will have to come to an end or there will be no good left. Like one bad apple in the bunch, it spoils all the rest, so it will have to end with an outside force finishing everything before we get to a very sad state as that and I believe that Jesus alone can solve this problem.

I think everything that we do does impact others and society. Does it not? I mean if I am addicted to alcohol, I might damage my relationships, I might be miserable and I might wind up having a social worker assisting me in grocery shopping so I don't spend it all on alcohol. This impacts society because instead of using tax money on something else, this money is now used to help me. My daughter might end up in the same situation because of her exposure to my habits... it's a cycle. I'm just saying that although lightening doesn't strike us as soon as we do something bad or do something bad to others, the consequences of our actions may find us in time.

Hard to imagine days like that...with no violence, but wouldn't it be wonderful if it led to a lasting reality???

Religion not being created ....hmmmm.  I think reliance on a system to oppress others in such a way as to become a god over their hearts/minds that was never intended.  Also to rely on a system that excludes God.  There is much to reflect on in regards to this one.

Suffering the pain caused others---puts a different perspective on things.  Makes it more real.
......

Excellent thoughts to consider, Cloud
